When a local business owner from Cambridge, first got in touch with us, they were stressed and

How We Put Things Right
I started by carrying out a full review of the last two submitted accounts. Once I had a clear
picture of what went wrong, I:
- Corrected the accounting entries
- Amended both sets of accounts
- Submitted the updated figures to HMRC
- Filed a claim to recover the tax the client had overpaid
- Helped put a simple, reliable accounting process in place for the future
Throughout the process, I kept the client updated so they always knew what was happening and
why.
The Result
A few weeks later, the good news arrived:
HMRC agreed with our amendments and refunded £4,658 in overpaid tax.
The client told me they hadn’t expected to get anything back, they just wanted their accounts to make sense again. Getting that refund gave their business a real cash-flow boost, and more importantly, restored their confidence in their financial setup.
Now they have:
- Accurate accounts
- A clearer understanding of their finances
- Ongoing support whenever they need it
